Good to know
What drop-offs and brush trucks turn away
Public drop-offs and city brush trucks both have limits, and debris is usually what they refuse. When the pile doesn't fit the rules, text us a photo instead of hauling it a carload at a time.
- Mt. Juliet brush pickup: no limbs over 15 feet long or 10 inches across.
- Nashville brush pickup: no limbs over 4 inches thick or 12 feet long.
- Metro Nashville centers don't accept shingles, concrete, dirt or brick.
- Rutherford County centers don't accept construction and demolition debris.
- Wilson County centers: 10 bags plus either 5 pieces of lumber or 20 shingles per visit.

A real job
Trampoline and yard debris, Murfreesboro.
A torn trampoline mat, bent frame, cardboard and broken boards piled in a Murfreesboro side yard. We loaded all of it and left grass and gravel. In Nashville we cleared a room of remodeling debris the same way.
- ★★★★★
“They were prompt and on time. Cleaned up all my junk and sweep up nicely after job done. Very professional and friendly. Will use again.”

Debris removal questions.
What counts as debris?
Yard debris and brush, remodel and construction leftovers, and the cardboard and bags piled around a business dumpster. Tile, drywall, trim, lumber, old cabinets, doors, fence boards, limbs, trampolines and playsets are all on our list. Not sure about something? Text a photo and ask.
Do you take construction debris from a remodel?
Yes. In Nashville we cleared a block-walled room of tile boxes, flooring planks, trim and broken pieces, plus bagged trash from the side yard. Stack it wherever is easiest, inside or out, and text a photo so the price covers every piece. For tear-outs, see our light demolition page.
Will you take the brush pile the city won't?
Yes. City brush trucks have size rules. Mt. Juliet's won't take limbs over 15 feet long or 10 inches across, and Nashville's stops at 4 inches thick or 12 feet long. We run on our own schedule, not a city route. Text a photo of the whole pile and your town.
Do you clear dumpster overflow?
Yes. We clear the cardboard, bags and bulk items piled in and around a business dumpster, load them into our own dump trailer and haul them off. We don't rent dumpsters. Text a photo of the overflow and the address, and we'll text back a price.
How do I get a price?
Text a photo of the debris to (629) 291-1231 with your town and a rough idea of how much there is. We text back a price. The quote form on our free quote page also takes up to five photos.
Is there a minimum?
No minimum charge. One pile of limbs, a few bags of job-site trash or a stack of old doors counts as a job. Text a photo of what's going and we'll price exactly that, whether it's one corner of the yard or a whole room.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. J&G Junk Removal LLC is licensed and insured, and Josh and Gabby do every job themselves. The two people who price your debris from a photo are the same two who show up, load it and haul it away.
How fast can you come?
We respond within the hour, day or night. Same-day pickup happens when the schedule allows, and we offer 24-hour emergency pickup if the debris has to be gone by a deadline. Calls and texts are answered around the clock.
Still have a question?
Text us a photo and ask. We respond within the hour, day or night.
