Good to know
What city brush pickup won't take
City brush trucks run on the city's calendar, with size rules. Metro Nashville comes four times a year on a rotation, and in Smyrna one oversized limb means the whole pile stays. Here's what five nearby programs won't pick up.
- Nashville: limbs over 4 inches thick or 12 feet long.
- Lebanon: limbs over 6 inches or 8 feet, plus stumps, logs and root balls.
- Brentwood: limbs over 6 inches or 8 feet, and no second trip that month.
- Smyrna: limbs over 6 feet or 8 inches, and the whole pile gets left and tagged.
- Hendersonville: limbs over 8 feet or piles over 10 by 10 feet. No call-ins.

A real job
Trampoline and yard debris, Murfreesboro.
A torn trampoline mat, bent frame, cardboard and broken boards piled in a Murfreesboro side yard. We loaded all of it and left grass and gravel. Also on our list: a Nashville playset and yard waste in Mount Juliet.

Brush & yard waste removal questions.
Will you take the brush pile the city left behind?
Text us a photo of it. City trucks run fixed routes with size rules, and in Smyrna one oversized limb means the whole pile gets left and tagged. We run on our own schedule, not a city route. Send the whole pile and your town to (629) 291-1231 and we'll text back a price.
Can you come before the city's next brush pickup?
Often, yes. Metro Nashville collects brush four times a year on a rotation, and Brentwood won't come back the same month once your week has run. We do same-day pickup when the schedule allows, plus 24-hour emergency pickup. Call (629) 291-1231 for the soonest time.
Do you haul trampolines and playsets?
Yes. We hauled a torn trampoline and yard debris out of a Murfreesboro side yard, and a broken-down wooden playset, slide and all, out of a Nashville backyard. Text a photo and say whether it's still standing or already in pieces, and we'll go from there.
Do you take patio furniture and grills?
Yes. Patio tables, chairs, loungers and old grills ride in the same trailer as the brush, so one trip can clear the yard and the deck. Text a photo of everything that's going and your town, and we'll text back a price. There's no minimum charge.
What about old mowers and lawn equipment?
Lawn equipment and tools are on our list: mowers, trimmers, blowers, spreaders, wheelbarrows and the rusty hand tools in the corner. Put them in the same photo as the rest of the yard junk. If the whole shed needs clearing, we do shed cleanouts too.
How do I get a price for a brush pile?
Text a photo to (629) 291-1231. Step back so the whole pile is in the shot, and tell us your town and where it sits: the curb, the backyard or behind a fence. There's no minimum, so a small pile is fine. We respond within the hour, day or night.
Do you do yard cleanups in Mount Juliet?
Yes. Mount Juliet is home base, and we cover about an hour in every direction, from Nashville and Murfreesboro to Lebanon and Dickson. Yard waste in Mount Juliet is on our own job list, along with the trampoline in Murfreesboro and the playset in Nashville.
Who does the work?
Josh and Gabby, the two of us who own JG Junk Removal. We do every job ourselves, with our own dump trailer, so there's no subcontractor in your yard. We're licensed and insured. One pile or a whole backyard, it's the same two people loading it.
Still have a question?
Text us a photo and ask. We respond within the hour, day or night.
