Antioch–Priest Lake, end to end.

Metro's plan for Antioch–Priest Lake covers about 59 square miles, from I-24 east to Percy Priest Lake and from the airport south to the county line. Murfreesboro Pike and Bell Road are the main roads.

It went from rural to suburban in the 1970s, and single-family homes still take up the most land. Near the Crossings or out by the lake, we carry it from the house to the trailer.

What Metro won't haul in Antioch

We carry it down the stairs and out to the trailer.

  • Ezell Pike, the closest Metro center, takes four mattresses a month, for a fee.
  • Ezell takes no construction debris. Small DIY loads go to Omohundro only.
  • The free daily drop-off is 3 bags and 1 bulk item, mattresses excluded.
  • Apartments get no Metro curbside trash: it's the property manager or a private hauler.

Antioch questions.

I'm moving out of an Antioch apartment. Will Metro take my furniture?

Metro's curbside trash covers single-family homes and duplexes up to quadplexes, not apartment complexes. Its page sends multi-family residents to their property manager or a private hauler. We're the private hauler: text a photo of the couch, the bed frame or the whole unit and we'll send a price.

Can I drop a mattress at the Ezell Pike center?

Yes, for a per-piece fee, and Metro caps it at four mattresses or box springs a month. Mattresses aren't part of the free daily drop-off, which is 3 bags of trash and 1 bulk item, and you unload your own load. Or we carry it out and haul it off.
