Gallatin.

Up Highway 109, 26 to 40 minutes from our base in Mount Juliet.

Sumner County's seat.

Gallatin has been the Sumner County seat since 1802. It sits on Station Camp Creek, about three miles north of the Cumberland, where Vietnam Veterans Boulevard ends and Highway 109 bypasses the west side.

City garbage runs Monday through Thursday in cans you own, and brush and construction materials can't go in them. From Volunteer State's main campus out to Rosemont and Cragfont, we haul what the cans can't.

Gallatin questions.

I missed Gallatin's bulk pickup sign-up. Now what?

The city runs bulk pickup once a month, for city trash customers only, and scheduling closes at 3:30 p.m. on the Wednesday before. Miss it and you wait for next month. Or text us a photo today. We do same-day pickup when the schedule allows, and there's no minimum.

Will Gallatin's bulk pickup take old cabinets and flooring?

No. The city's bulk pickup excludes construction and remodeling debris, including tile, drywall, carpet, lumber, cabinets, flooring, windows, doors, tubs, sinks, toilets and vanities. Light demolition and construction debris is one of our services. Send a photo of the pile and we'll give you a price.
